Spill Control and Remediation Engineering

The first section of this course covers the fundamentals of spill control response concepts, organisation, methods, and equipment. Attendees will learn about spill evaluation, response organisation and communications, surveillance and tracking, data records, and information. The second section of this course will go over the fundamentals of remedial engineering as they apply to property polluted by petroleum and hydrocarbons. It will examine various technologies for treating spill-contaminated waterways and soils. The session will conclude with an overview of solids processing for permanent disposal.
